Managing Conflicts of Interest

This programme focuses on the identification, disclosure and management of conflicts of interest in public institutions. Participants will gain practical tools for establishing robust safeguards that protect decision-making processes from undue influence and preserve institutional credibility. Participants will examine legal frameworks, disclosure systems, recusal procedures and ethics oversight mechanisms designed to address conflicts of interest. The programme explores challenges associated with revolving doors, outside appointments, gifts and hospitality, procurement decisions and interactions with private sector actors. Real-world case studies provide opportunities to test decision-making under complex circumstances.
